The whole of Hockley Woods needs yarny jackets like this. A bit ambitous maybe but we'll dress as much as we can! Why are we dressing up trees? The simple answer is - it's fun and it makes people smile.

So if you are a knitter or crocheter all you have to do is make a lengh of knitting. If you need any yarn, Knit-together HQ has plenty so please get in touch (essexknit-together@yahoo.co.uk) and you will be sent some.
1.There is no pattern.
2.Choose any colour, yarn and needle size.
3. Cast on 25 stiches (or more, or less)
4. Knit/crochet in whatever style you like
5. Keep going till you have about 200cms (or more, or less)
6. When you have finished please send it to: Knit-together C/O Roxie Curry, Rochford Council Offices, South Street, Rochford, Essex, SS4 1BW. (or e-mail essexknit-together@yahoo.co.uk to arrange a drop off at one of the knitting sessions). Jess will also be at Hockley woods on Friday 1st June between 11am-1pm beginning to put the knitting up.
EVERYTHING IS WELCOME and everything will be included.
